Happily ever after?

Life isn't a movie or a cartoon. Dreaming of having a fairy tale like life is really going to hit you hard at some point in your life. I've always loved cartoons like Little mermaid, Swan Princess and Cinderella and even Aladdin and even Mulan and almost every Disney cartoon you can name.
They'll always remain my favorites but I've come to realize that life is no fairy tale. Nothing comes without hard work. Even if something is destined to happen you'll have to work your way to it or it'll slip away.
Thus the question which popped in my mind " Happily ever after ? " my mind answered "hopefully .. No one knows"

My hilarious bestie

Believe it or not I haven't seen my bestie for 12 long years but we have the best laughs together.
We talk about the most random things and come out with the funniest answers possible and end up buttering each other up.
Right now I'm feeling super lucky and thankful to God for letting me have the best bestie ever. ㅅ.ㅅ

A souvenir from my first outing

Last Friday , I had my very first outing with my new classmates. :D
My friend CZY asked me to join them for a movie and when I hesitated persuaded me and I went along with them. There were 12 of us and I'm afraid I didn't catch all their names. Anyways we settled to watch the latest resident evil movie: Retribution .
Movie was fun, lots of action and zombies. After the movie we went for lunch to a restaurant named fish and go, which is where I got my souvenir from. We had fish and chips. Talked a little. Laughed and drove back to college. I took a taxi and returned home broke with a burnt tongue but very happy to have spent time with them.

When boredom leads to doodling....

I downloaded a drawing app a few months ago but never found the time to seriously use it to draw something nice . I end up doodling and like every other night tonight again I started off with a doodle.. I had Mulan,one of my favorite Disney cartoons in mind when I began.
Before I knew it I was absorbed into it and I was no longer doodling. I was trying to paint a pretty picture of Mulan. But obviously I draw better on paper with a pencil... It was interesting using the app to draw. It's time consuming and requires steady hands and a lot of patience.
Here's my first attempt .. I'm not good enough to draw out an exact replica of Mulan ... Had it been on paper I'd have managed but since it's on iPad cut me some slack :)

Reasons why I prefer K-Pop

The world of K-Pop is truly an amazing place. Once you hear a song even though you do not understand a single world it magically gets stuck in your head and the next thing you know you'd be looking up the song and listening to it. Then you'd listen to another and before you know it you'd be a huge fan of them. Why?? Their songs are catchy, meaningful and most importantly you feel sincerity in their music.. Something that has been lost from the recent Hollywood songs.
K-Pop motivates you to work harder towards your goal where as most of the English songs I hear is all about getting wasted and partying all night long. There isn't a moral.. It's bad influence for the younger generation and it doesn't give you hope.
I'm not saying all of the English songs are bad.. There are good and nice songs too. We definitely cannot leave out the old songs which dates back to 5-6 years or even further. Lionel Ritchie, Richard Marx, lifehouse,Back Street boys, Westlife and the legend Michael Jackson! They'll always be my all time favorites.
I guess what I'm to say is that K-Pop has a better influence on us. Their songs though we don't understand each and every single word without the aid of translation still never fails to convey its message to us.
My main reason for liking it is because it inspires me..motivates me and cheers me up.
Anyone who appreciates and loves music would definitely love K-Pop!

Attempt number 1

Brushing up on drawing skills again... Tried to draw Onew.. Body went well except for his hands.... Unfortunately his face need more work ... I need to draw more peaceful eyes!! And the hair!! On the other hand here's a picture of Key I drew and turned into a girl since it was for my cousin. It too isn't fully complete.. I had a bigger picture in mind. Hoping to find time to slowly complete it one by one.
